Research Facilities
Coverdell Center: Opened in March 2006, the 140,000 square foot Coverdell Building houses a dynamic, interactive mix of disciplines with a unifying focus on problems of biomedical importance.
Housing Units
Myers Hall: Renovation and expansion was completed in August 2003. It is the magnet residence hall for the University of Georgia Honors Program.
Academic Facilities
Sanford Hall: The three-story, 38,000 square-foot building, named for the Sanford family, was dedicated in October 1997. The building is a student center and academic building for the Terry College of Business.
Student Services / Auxiliary
East Village Commons: East Village Commons, whose dramatic staircase-coupled with a ceiling that looks the hull of a great sailing vessel-renders the term "dining hall" obsolete.
Athletics Projects
The Rankin M. Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center: Opened in the Fall of 2002, the Rankin M. Smith, Sr. Student- Athlete Academic Center provides space and resources for UGA's student-athletes to achieve their academic goals.
Historic Renovations
Phi Kappa Hall: Rededicated in March 2005, Phi Kappa Hall was carefully renovated and restored to make the building a more suitable meeting place for the Phi Kappa Literary Society and the Georgia Debate Union.
Greenspace & Infrastructure Projects
Memorial Garden: A memorial garden to remember students, faculty, staff, and alumni who died in service to their country and democracy was dedicated in April 2005.
