College of Environment and Design’s Jackson Street Building awarded LEED certification

The University of Georgia College of Environment and Design's Jackson Street Building has received LEED Gold Certification. This building is the first historic building on campus to earn the designation.

Office of University Architects Receives Outstanding Rehabilitation Award from Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation for work at Memorial Hall

The Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation recognizes a host of people and organizations annually for their work in historic preservation. The 44th Annual Historic Preservation Awards ceremony took place at the Morton Theatre in downtown Athens.

UGA Residence Hall Named in Honor of Former Gov. George D. Busbee

Athens, Ga. - The East Campus Village on the University of Georgia's campus has a new addition to its named residence halls. The University System of Georgia Board of Regents voted to approve the naming of Building 1512 after the late Gov. George D. Busbee.

Regents Approve UGA Building Progress

ATLANTA – The overall plan for the University of Georgia’s health campus was presented Tuesday to the the Board of Regents even though most of it is already accomplished. The board quickly corrected an oversight by giving its OK to the plan because it has authorized each of the individual projects in the $55 million renovation of the former U.S. Navy Supply Corps School.
