After 15-year buildout, UGA needs still more

As much as the University of Georgia has expanded in the past 15 years, the institution needs still more, says UGA Campus Architect Danny Sniff.

UGA Residence Hall to be Named in Honor of Former Gov. George D. Busbee

Athens, Ga. - The East Campus Village on the University of Georgia's campus will soon have a new addition to its named residence halls. The University System of Georgia Board of Regents voted today to approve the naming of Building 1512 after the late Gov. George D. Busbee.

Regents Approve UGA Building Progress

ATLANTA – The overall plan for the University of Georgia’s health campus was presented Tuesday to the the Board of Regents even though most of it is already accomplished. The board quickly corrected an oversight by giving its OK to the plan because it has authorized each of the individual projects in the $55 million renovation of the former U.S. Navy Supply Corps School.

 

The Big Build-Up

The new Rutherford Hall is on its way to being complete and ready to house students in time for fall semester classes. A dedication ceremony is planned for June 27 at 9:30am.

Stegeman Coliseum marks 50th Anniversary Season

Originally named the Georgia Coliseum, the facility was renamed for Herman Stegeman in 1996. The 2012-13 academic year marks the 50th anniversary season for Stegeman Coliseum as a major venue for UGA athletics.
