Building 1516 - Student Housing

Building 1516 provides double and single rooms with private bath accommodations geared toward non-first-year, undergraduate students. The new dorm recently achieved LEED Gold Certification making it the second UGA building to achieve this status.

This project includes the renovation of the existing 33,315 sf Clark Howell Hall to provide improved life safety, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, improved ADA accessibility and updated finishes for the students, faculty, and staff within the Career Center, University Testing Services

Mary Lyndon Hall Renovation

Replacement of all HVAC systems, supplemental power to student rooms, the widening of all doorways, and new finishes. Installation of fire sprinklers, elevator and H/C ramps will also be included.

McWhorter Hall Fresh-Air Renewal and Replacement

This project involves the replacement of various interior components, surfaces and the current fresh-air system in the existing residence hall.  Renovations include painting, countertop replacement, flooring replacement, and bathtub replacement.

Morris Hall and Soule Hall Fresh-Air System

Both dormitories were outfitted with new chillers and up-to-date, size appropriate air circulation equipment to improve indoor air quality. Soule Hall also received an Energy Recovery unit.

Myers Hall
